This is the meter for such hymns as "Faith of Our Fathers"
1. The Lord reigns; let the peoples quake.
He is on cherubim enthroned.
Let earth quake! God is great in Zi'n,
Exalted over nations all.
Let all the world your majesty
And greatness praise. Holy is he!
2. O mighty King, who justice loves,
You have established equity;
Justice and righteousness you've made
In Israel to come to pass.
Extol the Lord God; worship him
At his footstool. Holy is he!
3. Moses and Aaron both were priests,
Samuel also called on him.
They cried to God, who spoke to them,
Answering from the pillared cloud;
They kept his testimonies all,
And the statutes that he gave them.
4. O Lord God, you did answer them;
You forgave them, for you are God,
But punished them for all their sins.
Extol the Lord, who is our God;
Worship him at his holy hill,
For holy is the Lord our God!
