1. Sing to the Lord a glad new song;
Sing to him, all the earth!
O bless his name, tell ev-ery day
A-bout his sav-ing might.
2. De-clare his glo-ry in the world,
' His works through-out the earth.
Great is the Lord, O praise his name,
Fear him a-bove all gods.
3. The peo-ples' gods are i-dols false,
The heav'ns the Lord did make.
By glo-ry and by maj-es-ty
Sur-round-ed is his throne.
4. With pow-er and with love-li-ness
His tem-ple courts are filled.
A-scribe to him, you peo-ples all,
His glo-ry and his might.
5. Give God the glo-ry due his name;
Come to his house with gifts.
Bow down be-fore him when he comes,
And trem-ble, all the earth!
6. Tell all the na-tions of the earth,
"The Lord our God does reign!
The earth is set and shall not move;
With jus-tice he will judge."
7. Let heav'n be glad, let earth re-joice,
The sea, and all there-in;
Let fields ex-ult, and ev-ery-thing
That with-in them does grow.
8. The for-est trees shall sing for joy
Be-fore the Lord, who comes
To judge the world with right-eous-ness,
And peo-ples with his truth.
