PSALM 95
METER:  LMD (88 88 D)
SUGGESTED TUNES:  HE LEADETH ME or SWEET HOUR
This is the meter for such hymns as "He Leadeth Me" and "Sweet Hour of Prayer"

1.  Come, let us sing unto the Lord,
    Unto our sav-ing rock with joy.
    Be-fore him come, and give him thanks;
    Make joy-ful noise with songs of praise!
    For God the Lord is ver-y great,
    A great king o'er all oth-er gods.
    For God the Lord is ver-y great,
    A great king o'er all oth-er gods.
2.  The depths of earth are in his hand,
    As are the high-est moun-tain peaks.
    The sea is his, for he made it;
    With his own hands he formed dry land.
    Come, let us wor-ship and bow down,
    Be-fore our Mak-er kneel in awe.
    He is our God, and we his folk,
    The sheep he guards with his own hand.
3.  Oh, heark-en to his voice to-day!
    "Do not be stub-born in your hearts,
    Like your fore-bears in des-erts wild
    Who saw my work, yet test-ed me.
    That gen-e-ra-tion I ab-horred
    For for-ty years and said that they
    Did err and not re-gard my ways.
    In an-ger I gave them no rest."
