1. Sing a-loud to God our strength,
Shout for joy to Ja-cob's God.
"I, the Lord, am your true God.
I brought you from E-gypt's land.
If you'll o-pen wide your mouth,
I will feed you till you're full."
2. "But my peo-ple list-ened not,
They would not sub-mit to me.
So I let them stub-born-ly
Fol-low af-ter their own ways.
O that they would hear my voice,
If they'd only heed my ways!
3. "Then I'd crush their en-e-mies,
Turn my hand a-gainst their foes.
Those who hate the Lord will cow'r,
For e-ter-ni-ty they're doomed.
I would feed you with fine wheat,
And with hon-ey from the rock."
