1. Sing aloud to God our strength,
Shout for joy to Jacob's God.
"I, the Lord, am your true God.
I brought you from Egypt's land.
If you'll open wide your mouth,
I will feed you till you're full."
2. "But my people listened not,
They would not submit to me.
So I let them stubbornly
Follow after their own ways.
O that they would hear my voice,
If they'd only heed my ways!
3. "Then I'd crush their enemies,
Turn my hand against their foes.
Those who hate the Lord will cow'r,
For eternity they're doomed.
I would feed you with fine wheat,
And with honey from the rock."
