1. God commanded, heaven opened,
Bread from heaven poured on them.
Mortals ate the bread of angels,
God sent them abundant food.
God sent forth the east and south winds,
Rained down birds for them to eat.
'Round their tents the quails came falling,
They ate and were satisfied.
