This is the meter of such hymns as "Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow" and "All Praise to Thee, My God, This Night"
1. Make joyful noise to God, all earth.
Sing his name's glory and give praise:
"How great your deeds are; in your pow'r
All foes before you cringe with fear.
2. All earth gives worship to you, God.
They sing the praises of your name."
Come, people, see what God has done--
Such awesome works for mortal ones.
3. He turned the sea into dry land,
He helped them through the river walk.
We rejoiced in him, who with might
Forever reigns o'er nations all.
4. God brings the haughty rebel low;
He won't let them exalt themselves.
Bless God, all peoples, sound his praise;
He keeps our lives so we won't fall.
