PSALM 66:1-12
METER:  65 65 65 65 65 65
SUGGESTED TUNE:  ST. GERTRUDE
This is the tune for such hymns as "Onward, Christian Soldiers."

1.  Joyful noise make to God,
    All that are on earth.
    Sing his name's great glory,
    Give him glorious praise.
    Say, "How great your deeds are,
    Because of your pow'r
    Enemies before you
    Cringe and bow in fear.
    All the earth gives worship,
    Worship to you, God.
    They sing praises to you,
    Praises to your name."
2.  Come and see, O people,
    What our God has done;
    Awesome are his marvels
    Done for mortal ones.
    He turned sea to dry land,
    Rivers they walked through.
    There we rejoiced in him--
    He who by his might
    Rules forever, keeping
    Watch on nations all
    So that the rebellious
    Don't exalt themselves.
3.  Bless our God, all peoples,
    Let your praise be heard.
    He has kept us living
    And not let us fall.
    God, we have been tested,
    Purified by fire;
    We have been entrapped, and
    Given heavy loads.
    You let foes ride o'er us;
    We've known fire and flood;
    But now you have brought us
    To a bounteous place.
