PSALM 65
METER:  10 10 11 11
SUGGESTED TUNES:  HANOVER or LYONS
This is the meter of such hymns as "O Worship the King" and "Ye Servants of God."
NOTE:  If using only vv. 8-13 (an option for Proper 10, Year A), use stanzas 4 and 5.

1.  O God, it is right to praise you in Zi'n
    And keep our vows, for you answer our pray'rs.
    All flesh will come to you because of their sins.
    When our faults defeat us, all them you forgive.
2.  Blest are they you choose to live in your courts.
    Your Temple's good things shall satisfy us.
    With dread deeds you save us, our Savior, our God,
    The hope of all earth and the farthest of seas.
3.  The mountains you raised to show forth your strength.
    You calm the seas' roar, the peoples' uproar.
    The whole world is awed by the great things you've done;
    And joyous shouts rise from earth's ends at your deeds.
4.  You nurture the earth, enrich it with rain;
    Your river is full, the grain you provide.
    You send rains abundant upon the plowed fields.
    You settle it, soften it, bless it with growth.
5.  Rich harvests you give, plenty follows you.
    The pastures have flocks, the hills ring with joy.
    The meadows have sheep, and the valleys bear grain,
    And ev'rything shouts forth and sings out for joy.
