PSALM 52
METER: 11 10 11 10 10 8 10 8
SUGGESTED TUNE: O STORE GUD (HOW GREAT THOU ART)
1. Why do you boast, O great one, of your e-vil?
God's faith-ful-ness will last un-til the end.
Ru-in you plan; your tongue is like a ra-zor,
And you are al-ways com-ing up with lies.
E-vil and false-hood you love, not the truth.
Your words de-vour, your tongue de-ceives.
God will crush you, and tear you from your home,
Up-root-ing you from life it-self.
2. When right-eous ones see this they will be awe-struck--
But then in-stead they'll laugh at you and say,
"See one who would not take God for a ref-uge,
But trust-ed in great rich-es and great wealth!"
I'm in God's house like a green ol-ive tree.
God's con-stant love I'll al-ways trust.
I thank you e'er for all that you have done.
I'll tell your peo-ple that you're good.
