PSALM 50:1-8, 22-23
METER:  77 77 D
This is the meter of such hymns as "Come, Ye Thankful People, Come" and "Take My Life, and Let It Be"

1.  The Lord God, the Might-y One
    Calls the earth from east to west.
    God from Zi-on does shine forth;
    Per-fect-ed in beau-ty he.
    Our God comes, no si-lence keeps,
    Fire be-fore him, tem-pests 'round.
    He calls out to heav'n and earth,
    So that he may judge his own:
2.  "Bring to me my faith-ful ones,
    Who made cov-e-nant with me
    Through their sac-ri-fice!" The heav'ns
    Call God just, for he is judge!
    Hear, my peo-ple, and I'll speak;
    I will test-i-fy 'gainst you.
    Is-ra-el, I am your God.
    It's not sac-ri-fice I chide.
3.  You have brought burnt of-fer-ings.
    "Mark this, you who God for-get,
    Or I will tear you a-part,
    And you won't de-liv-ered be.
    Those who tru-ly hon-or me
    Are the ones who bring me thanks;
    To all those who o-bey me
    I will show my sav-ing ways."
