PSALM 37:1-9

This is the meter of such hymns as "Lord, Speak to Me" and "Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow"
1. Don't fret be-cause of wick-ed ones,
Don't get up-set be-cause of them.
They soon will dry up like the grass
And like a green herb fade a-way.
2. Trust in the Lord, and do what's good,
And in the land you'll dwell se-cure.
Be hap-py in the Lord, and he
Will give you what your heart de-sires.
3. Com-mit your way un-to the Lord,
Trust in him, and he will help you.
God will save you, sure as the dawn,
And vin-di-cate sure as noon-day.
4. Be still and wait for God to act.
Don't fret o'er those who pros-per while
They go a-bout and do what's wrong.
Re-frain from an-ger and from wrath.
5. Don't fret, it on-ly trou-ble brings.
The wick-ed shall be driv-en out,
But those who wait up-on the Lord
Shall ev-er Yah-weh's land pos-sess.
