1. Re-joice in God, you right-eous ones!
You up-right, praise be-fits.
Praise God with in-stru-ments with strings;
Sing a new song to him.
2. Play skill-ful-ly and shout with praise,
For God's word's al-ways true;
His work is faith-ful, he is just,
His love's in the whole world.
3. 'Twas by God's word the skies were made,
And all that is there-in.
God brought the seas in-to one place,
And stored the depths a-way.
4. Let all the earth show rev-er-ence,
All peo-ples fear God's name.
All was cre-at-ed when he spoke,
Ap-pear-ing at his call.
5. God thwarts the coun-sel of the lands,
And frus-trates peo-ples' plans.
The coun-sel of God al-ways stands,
His pur-pos-es for aye.
6. Blest is the na-tion whose God is
The Lord, yes, Is-rael's God.
Blest is the peo-ple that he chose
To be his her-i-tage.
