1. De-clare me in-no-cent, O Lord,

For I do what is right and true,

And I trust in you, Lord our God,

That I will not un-stead-y be.

2. Ex-am-ine me and test me, Lord;

My heart and mind put to the test.

Your con-stant love is e'er my guide,

Your faith-ful-ness leads me al-ways.

3. I stay a-way from worth-less ones;

Have naught with hy-po-crites to do.

I can't with e-vil-do-ers be,

And I a-void the wick-ed ones.

4. I wash my hands in in-no-cence,

And wor-ship at your al-tar, Lord,

Sing-ing you thanks, tell-ing your deeds.

I love the home in which you dwell.

5. With sin-ful ones de-stroy me not.

Let me not die with mur-der-ers,

Those who do e-vil all the time,

Whose right hand al-ways takes a bribe.

6. For I walk with in-teg-ri-ty;

Save me and show your mer-cy, Lord.

You keep me, Lord, on lev-el ground.

I'll bless you, Lord, a-mong your own.
