1. To you, O Lord, I lift my soul,
O God, in you I trust.
Do not let me be put to shame,
Don't let my foes ex-ult.
2. Let none who put their trust in you
Be ev-er put to shame;
Let treach-er-ous and wan-ton ones
Know on-ly shame and grief.
3. Teach me to know your ways, O Lord;
Make them known un-to me.
Lead me to live ac-cord-ing to
The truth you have made known.
4. You are my God, who has saved me;
I wait for you all day.
Be mind-ful of your mer-cy, Lord,
And of your con-stant love.
5. You showed your love from long a-go.
For-give my youth-ful sins;
Ac-cord-ing to your stead-fast love
Re-mem-ber me, O Lord.
6. The Lord is ev-er just and good,
Leads sin-ners in his path.
He leads the hum-ble to do right
And teach-es them his way.
