1. Hear a just cause, Lord, listen to my cry!
Listen to my pray'r, free from all deceit.
Judge in my favor, see my cause is right.
Try me by night, examine me in full.
2. You'll find no evil in my heart or mouth.
I have no praise for human works and ways.
Your voice I follow, your commands I keep.
I have not followed paths of violence.
3. My steps I've held fast following your paths,
My feet have never slipped from your pathways.
I call you, for you answer me, O God;
Turn unto me, and hear the words I speak.
4. Wondrously show to me your steadfast love,
Savior of those who seek refuge from foes.
As your eye's apple, hide me 'neath your wings,
From deadly enemies who ruin me.
