1. Hear a just cause, Lord, lis-ten to my cry!
Lis-ten to my prayer, free from all de-ceit.
Judge in my fa-vor, see my cause is right.
Try me by night, ex-am-ine me in full.
2. You'll find no e-vil in my heart or mouth.
I have no praise for hu-man works and ways.
Your voice I fol-low, your com-mands I keep.
I have not fol-lowed paths of vi-o-lence.
3. My steps I've held fast fol-low-ing your paths,
My feet have nev-er slipped from your path-ways.
I call you, for you an-swer me, O God;
Turn un-to me, and hear the words I speak.
4. Won-drous-ly show to me your stead-fast love,
Sav-ior of those who seek ref-uge from foes.
I shall be-hold your face in right-eous-ness,
Wak-ing and see-ing you, con-tent I'll be.
