1. How long will you forget me, Lord?
Will it forever be?
How long, Lord, will you hide from me?
How long must I bear woe?
How long must I mourn day and night?
How long must foes prevail?
Look on me, Lord, and answer me;
Give light, or I shall die.
2. Don't let my enemies e'er say
That they''ve defeated me.
Do not let them gloat over me
Because of my downfall.
I trust you and your steadfast love;
I'm glad, for you save me.
I'll sing to you, O Lord, because
You have been good to me.
