PSALM 113
METER: CM (86 86)
SUGGESTED TUNES: ARLINGTON or AZMON
This is the meter of such hymns as "Am I a Soldier of the Cross" and "O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing"
1. Praise God, you ser-vants of the Lord,
O praise God's ho-ly name!
Blest be God's name from this time forth,
Now and for-ev-er-more.
2. From rise of sun un-til it sets
God's name is to be praised.
The Lord is high o'er na-tions all,
God's glory o'er the heav'ns.
3. Oh, who is like the Lord our God,
Who is seat-ed on high,
Who looks far down on heav'n and earth?
Oh, who is like the Lord?
4. God lifts the poor up from the dust,
The need-y from the ash,
God lifts them to an e-qual state
With rul-ers of his folk.
5. He wel-comes home the bar-ren one,
A moth-er she be-comes,
With joy her child-ren she re-ceives.
Let all flesh praise the Lord!
