This is the meter for such hymns as "O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing", "Am I a Soldier of the Cross", and "Amazing Grace."
1. Praise God! Those who fear him are glad,
Who joy in his commands.
Their children shall rule in the land,
In justtice they'll be blessed.
2. They will enjoy riches and wealth,
They'll prosper all their lives.
Light shines in darkness for the good--
Just, merciful, and kind.
3. Happy are those who freely lend,
Who deal with honesty.
Those who do good shall not be moved,
But shall remembered be.
4. They do not fear bad news, because
Their strong trust is in God.
They are not worried or afrai,
For enemies shall fall.
5. They're just and gen'rous to the poor;
Their honor shall be great.
The wicked see this and they rage;
Their hopes shall come to naught.
