PSALM 105:1-6, 37-45

This is the meter to such hymns as "There Is a Fountain Filled with Blood."
1. Give thanks to God, call on his name,
Tell his deeds to the earth.
Sing praise and tell his wondrous works,
Give glory to his name.
Let those who worship the Lord God
Rejoice and e'er be glad.
Seek God and call on him for help,
His presence always seek.
2. Remember the great things he's done,
Wonders and judgments great,
You offspring of him who served God,
Your father Abraham,
And you, descendants of Jacob,
The ones whom God did choose.
He brought them out with so much wealth,
And yet the tribes fell not.
3. Egypt was glad to see them leave,
They were afraid of them.
God spread a cloud to cover them,
And fire for light at night.
They asked, he gave them quails to eat,
And bounteous food from heav'n.
He gave them water from the rock,
It like a river flowed.
4. God kept in mind his promises
To Abrah'm, who served him.
He brought his people out with joy,
His chosen ones with song.
He gave them many nations' lands,
They took the peoples' wealth,
That they might e'er obey his laws.
So let us praise the Lord!
