1. Give thanks to God, call on his name,
Tell his deeds to the earth.
Sing praise and tell his won-drous works,
Give glo-ry to his name;
Let those who wor-ship the Lord God
Re-joice and e'er be glad.
Seek God and call on him for help,
His pres-ence always seek.
2. Re-mem-ber the great things he's done,
Won-ders and judg-ments great,
You off-spring of him who served God,
Your fa-ther A-bra-ham,
And you, de-scend-ants of Ja-cob,
The ones whom God did choose.
For Is-rael came to E-gypt's land;
They lived as a-liens there.
3. God gave his peo-ple pro-gen-y,
Till strong-er than their foes,
Whose hearts God turned to hate his own,
And treat them with de-ceit.
His ser-vant, Mo-ses, he then sent,
And Aa-ron, whom he chose.
O praise the Lord, yes, praise his name!
Praise God! Hal-le-lu-jah!
