This is the meter for hymns such as "There Is a Fountain Filled with Blood."
1. Give thanks to God, call on his name,
Tell his deeds to the earth.
Sing praise and tell his wondrous works,
Give glory to his name;
Let those who worship the Lord God
Rejoice and e'er be glad.
Seek God and call on him for help,
His presence always seek.
2. Remember the great things he's done,
Wonders and judgments great,
You offspring of him who served God,
Your father Abraham,
And you, descendants of Jacob,
The ones whom God did choose.
For Israel came to Egypt's land;
They lived as aliens there.
3. God gave his people progeny,
Till stronger than their foes,
Whose hearts God turned to hate his own,
And treat them with deceit.
His servant, Moses, he then sent,
And Aaron, whom he chose.
O praise the Lord, yes, praise his name!
Praise God! Hallelujah!
