PSALM 103:1-13
METER:  SM (66 86)
SUGGESTED TUNES:  ST. THOMAS (WILLIAMS) or FESTAL SONG
This is the meter for such hymns as "I Love Thy Kingdom, Lord" and "Rise Up, O Men of God."
NOTE:  If using only vv. 8-13 of the psalm, use stanzas 5-8.

1.  O bless the Lord, my soul!
All in me bless his name!
Bless him, my soul, and ne'er forget
The things that he has done.
2.  All your sins he forgives,
    All your diseases heals;
He keeps you from the grasp of death
    And love and mercy gives.
3.  He satisfies with good
As long as you shall live
So that you remain young and strong
    Like eagles are renewed.
4.  God justly judges for
    The ones who are oppressed.
He made his ways to Moses known,
    His acts to Israel.
5.  Mercy and grace he shows,
And slow to wrath is he
And full of constant love.  He ne'er
Will chide nor hold a grudge.
6.  He does not deal with us
    According to our sins,
Nor punish us as we deserve,
    So great his contstant love.
7.   His love is great to those
    Who fear and rev'rence him.
Far as the east is from the west
    He takes our sins away.
8.  As parents pity take
    Upon their progeny,
So does the Lord take pity on
All those who fear his name.
