1. Blest are they who do not take
Their ad-vice from wick-ed folk,
Who walk not in sin-ners' ways
Nor join those who scoff at God,
But de-light in God's own law
Which they stud-y day and night.
Like trees grow-ing by a stream
Bear-ing fruit when times are right,
And whose leaves do not dry up
Are they. They in all suc-ceed.
2. E-vil ones are not like this,
But like chaff that blows a-way.
Wick-ed ones will be con-demned;
They will not stand up when judged.
They will nev-er count-ed be
In the peo-ple of the Lord.
God guides and pro-tects the just,
But the e-vil head for doom.
