1. Blest are they who do not take
Their advice from wicked folk,
Who walk not in sinners' ways
Nor join those who scoff at God,
But delight in God's own law
Which they study day and night.
Like trees growing by a stream
Bearing fruit when times are right,
And whose leaves do not dry up
Are they. They in all succeed.
2. Evil ones are not like this,
But like chaff that blows away.
Wicked ones will be condemned;
They will not stand up when judged.
They will never counted be
In the people of the Lord.
God guides and protects the just,
But the evil head for doom.
